Paul O'Reilly - Golf Professional

Paul O’Reilly is Mike Vipond's assistant. A fully qualified PGA Professional in his own right, Paul’s career has taken him from assistant professional at North Manchester Golf Club to Douglas Golf Club. In between, Paul was head professional and latterly secretary at Peel Golf Club from 2005 to 2017. Paul’s reputation as an excellent teacher and developer of junior golf on the island is well documented. Paul’s role is to assist Mike Vipond at Douglas Golf Club, to manage the retail area of the club and to head up teaching of all levels including new member acquisition.

Mike Vipond -  Head Golf Professional

Head PGA professional Mike Vipond, has over 40 years experience in many varied roles during his career based around the North West of England and now the Isle of Man. Mike's playing career was distinguished with many notable achievements including the North West’s Under 23 PGA Champion. Mike is also a former Captain of the Lancashire PGA, Manchester Alliance and Douglas Golf Club. Mikes role has now developed into a managerial position as a link between Douglas corporation and Douglas golf club. He manages the facilities at Meadows Pavilion including Golf operations and functions.
